Mallorca Luxury Yoga Retreat
OVERVIEW
Mallorca is an island of extraordinary contrasts — dramatic mountains that fall straight into turquoise coves, honey-stone villages perched in golden light, and a culture as rich in tradition as it is in flavor. This retreat is an invitation to slow all the way down and take it in: to greet each morning with yoga, to taste the island through its wine and its clay, to walk streets that once held Chopin's piano and a king's summer palace, and to gather each evening around a beautiful table with people who feel like family.
This is true luxury — a five-star hotel, the island's most celebrated restaurants, nothing rushed and nothing overlooked — but it is also deeply real. The natural beauty of the Tramuntana mountains, the living history of towns like Valldemossa and Deià, and the warmth of Mallorcan culture will meet us at every turn. We'll move between mountain and sea, vineyard and beach club, always circling back to connection — with the island, with ourselves, and with each other. Take a look at everything below, and get ready to fall in love with Mallorca.
THE AREA & ACTIVITIES
Our home base is Palma, Mallorca's beautiful capital — an ancient port city where a soaring Gothic cathedral shares cobblestone streets with centuries-old ateliers and wine bars. But this retreat carries us well beyond the city too, into the heart of what makes this island so special.
We'll spend an afternoon in Palma's Old Town beneath La Seu Cathedral, wandering into the boutiques and ateliers tucked into 18th-century storefronts. We'll get our hands into the clay at a ceramics studio, painting our own pottery in the island's centuries-old tradition while pouring generous glasses of local wine — because on Mallorca, art and wine always go hand in hand. From there we'll head inland to Binissalem, the island's official wine region, to taste Mallorca's own reds and whites in the very town where they're made.
One full day is spent entirely on the water: we'll board a private catamaran along the dramatic northern coastline, past the Serra de Tramuntana rising straight out of the sea, with a swim stop in crystalline coves before lunch at Ca's Patró March — a legendary, boat-access-only restaurant perched on the cliffs of Cala Deià, serving the freshest fish and seafood caught that same morning.
Another day is reserved entirely for rest and beauty at Beso Beach Club, the island's most beautiful barefoot-luxury beach club — Balinese daybeds, toes in the actual sand, Basque-Mediterranean food, and a soundtrack that carries us gently into golden hour. And on our final full day together, we trade the coast for the mountains: wandering the honey-stone lanes of Valldemossa, the village where Chopin once lived inside a 14th-century monastery, before continuing on to Deià, the impossibly charming artists' village stacked into the hillside, ending with sunset aperitivos on a terrace overlooking the Tramuntana range.
This retreat moves at the pace of the island itself: unhurried, sun-drenched, and full of small, real moments.
HOTEL
We will be staying at the extraordinary Can Bordoy Garden House & Garden, a five-star aristocratic retreat tucked into the historic La Lonja district of Palma's Old Town. Once a private palace, Can Bordoy is now one of the most beautiful hotels on the island — a lush, plant-filled sanctuary built around a botanical garden, with a subterranean spa carved into original 12th-century stonework and a rooftop terrace with sweeping views straight to the Cathedral.
Every room is individually designed, and the whole property has the feeling of a private residence rather than a hotel — intimate, elegant, and endlessly photogenic. You'll be steps from the very best of Palma's Old Town, yet the moment you step through Can Bordoy's doors, the noise of the city disappears. We'll have breakfast here each morning and use of the gardens for yoga and quiet moments of connection throughout our stay. This is true five-star luxury, in the most special corner of Palma.
DINING
Every night of this retreat is spent at one of Mallorca's most celebrated tables — this is a food and wine lover's island, and we intend to prove it.
Fera Palma — Our welcome dinner sets the tone for the week. Fera is one of Palma's most beautiful restaurants, set inside a restored 17th-century palace with a lush tropical garden courtyard, serving vibrant, inventive Mediterranean-Asian plates.
El Camino — Tucked just behind the Born, El Camino is Palma at its most alive — a stylish, buzzy bistro with an open kitchen and a menu of perfectly executed Spanish tapas, from Andalusian-style calamari to melt-in-your-mouth croquetas. Expect a lively night among locals and in-the-know travelers alike.
Farm to Table Mallorca — After our afternoon in Binissalem wine country, we'll sit down at a long communal table set right among the vines of a working vineyard. Helmed by a Michelin-trained chef, the seasonal menu travels just a few kilometers from field to plate — honest, beautiful, and completely unlike anything else on the island.
Ca's Patró March — Reachable only by boat, this legendary cliffside restaurant in Cala Deià serves the day's freshest fish and seafood on a terrace suspended above impossibly turquoise water. It's the kind of lunch people fly to Mallorca for — and we'll be arriving by our own private catamaran.
Mombo — Widely considered one of the most elegant restaurants in Palma right now, Mombo serves refined Mediterranean cooking in a sophisticated, beautifully designed room. A special night out, in every sense of the word.
El Olivo — Our final dinner together is held at El Olivo, the signature restaurant of the legendary Belmond La Residencia in Deià, set inside a converted 16th-century olive press with candlelit tables and views over the mountains. It is quite simply one of the most beautiful restaurants on the island — a fittingly unforgettable close to our week.
YOGA
This retreat will feature daily yoga classes led by certified yoga instructor, Kristen Klein. Classes are open to all levels, beginner to practiced, and will be led in both an Ashtanga-inspired vinyasa flow and Yin Yoga. We will begin most mornings at 8am with a class to ground us and set an intention for the day ahead, with a beautiful garden or rooftop as our backdrop.
